Blue Is the Warmest Colour

DramaRomance180 min

Adèle Exarchopoulos is Adèle, a French high school student whose sense of herself begins to shift after she meets Emma, a blue-haired art student embodied by Léa Seydoux. Their relationship carries Adèle from first desire into early adulthood, as she tries to define her place with friends, family, and in a world not always welcoming to what she wants. The film stays close to Adèle’s point of view, tracing how love, sexuality, and differences in background shape the way she sees herself and the life ahead of her.
