The Tailor of Panama
ComedyDramaThriller109 min
After an affair with an ambassador’s mistress gets him shipped off to Panama, a British spy starts digging for intelligence on the future of the Canal and latches onto a local tailor with dangerous connections. Pierce Brosnan is the agent, smooth and shameless; Geoffrey Rush’s tailor dresses the country’s political and criminal elite, carries a buried past, and is drowning in debt. With the tailor’s wife working for the president, gossip, invention, and state secrets start bleeding together as debts mount and rumors move upward through Panama’s elite.
