Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory
ActionAdventureComedyFamilyFantasyMusical100 min
Penniless Charlie Bucket spends his days hoping to find one of five Golden Tickets hidden in Wonka candy bars, the prize being a visit to the world’s most secretive chocolate factory and a lifetime supply of sweets. Peter Ostrum is Charlie, the quiet boy at the center of the scramble, while Gene Wilder’s Willy Wonka welcomes the winners with a smile that never quite settles into trust. Inside the factory, Charlie and the other children move through chocolate rivers, edible inventions, musical interludes, and the peculiar rules of a host who seems to be testing more than their sweet tooth.
