The Next Karate Kid

ActionAdventureDramaFamilyRomance107 min

Mr. Miyagi steps in when Julie Pierce, a high schooler carrying guilt over her parents’ death, struggles to adjust to life with her grandmother and clashes with other students. Pat Morita returns as the quiet martial arts mentor, and Hilary Swank’s Julie brings a sharper, more restless energy than the teenagers he has trained before. As Miyagi introduces her to karate and the discipline behind it, the story moves through school trouble, family tension, and a few detours into his Buddhist roots.
