French Connection II

ActionAdventureCrimeDramaThriller119 min

Gene Hackman is Popeye Doyle, the hard-driving New York detective who heads to Marseille to track down the French drug smuggler who slipped away in New York. With Fernando Rey’s Alain Charnier still elusive, the case shifts overseas, where Doyle’s blunt style collides with unfamiliar procedures and a city he doesn’t know. Far from home, he works with local police and keeps pushing at a heroin operation that stays just out of reach.
