The Substitute
105 min
In Bali, a wife convinced her husband is cheating decides to follow him and ends up crossing a line of her own. Her private investigation shifts when she meets a dashing stranger who draws her in, turning suspicion into an emotional tangle she didn’t expect. As her feelings deepen, so does her guilt, until she begins hoping her husband really is having an affair after all. Against a lush holiday backdrop, the story tightens around jealousy, desire, and the stories people tell themselves to live with what they’ve done.
