Autumn Sonata

Drama99 min

After years apart, a celebrated concert pianist arrives at her daughter's home for a visit that quickly turns into a reckoning. Old wounds surface as mother and daughter sit across from each other and revisit a lifetime of neglect, resentment, and need. What begins as a tentative reunion hardens into painful, intimate conversations about childhood, marriage, illness, and the damage each believes the other has done. Ingrid Bergman and Liv Ullmann carry a story set almost entirely inside these encounters, where every courtesy gives way to accusation. As the night stretches on, the visit becomes a fierce struggle over memory, blame, and the hope of being seen clearly at last.
