The Brood

HorrorSci-Fi92 min

Art Hindle centers the story as a husband trying to understand what is being done to his estranged, institutionalized wife at a secluded institute. There, Oliver Reed’s controversial psychologist runs a radical form of therapy that turns family trauma into something disturbingly literal. As a string of brutal murders closes in, David Cronenberg threads together domestic breakdown, experimental psychiatry, and grotesque physical fallout with the chilly precision of his early Canadian horror.
