CrimeDrama116 min
In 1980s Detroit, teenager Richard Wershe Jr. is pulled into the War on Drugs when law enforcement uses him as an undercover informant inside the city’s drug trade. Richie Merritt is Rick, caught between adolescence and a system that values how close he can get to danger, while Matthew McConaughey’s Richard Sr. is his blue-collar father, struggling to keep the family afloat. Drawn from a true story, the film tracks Rick’s early entanglement with police, dealers, and the streets around him as the line between informant and participant begins to blur.
