Marshland

ActionAdventureCrimeDramaMysteryThriller105 min

In Spain’s southern marshlands in 1980, two Madrid homicide detectives are sent to a remote town after the disappearance and murder of teenage girls during local festivities. Javier Gutiérrez and Raúl Arévalo are the investigators, men with sharply opposed politics and methods, forced to work the same case in a place that feels isolated from the rest of the country. As they question families, locals, and possible suspects, the killings begin to suggest something larger than a single crime, with the town’s silence and the surrounding wetlands pressing in on every lead.
