A storm hits the Bowden household when attorneys Anna and Tom Bowden are forced to face the man they helped send to prison. Amy Adams is Anna, one half of a happily married couple whose life is upended when Max Cady (Javier Bardem), a notorious killer newly released from prison, comes back looking for revenge. Patrick Wilson's Tom is caught in the same crosshairs as the threat closes in, turning a past conviction into a private nightmare. The series centers on the pressure Cady brings to their marriage, their sense of safety, and the line between justice and retaliation.
