After she’s left at the altar, a workaholic advertising executive boards her nonrefundable Caribbean honeymoon cruise with an unexpected companion: her estranged father. Kristen Bell is the daughter, still tethered to her job even at sea, opposite Kelsey Grammer’s equally work-driven dad. What begins as an awkward salvage operation turns into a forced stretch of shared meals, shore excursions, umbrella drinks, and conversations neither of them has managed to have on land. The cruise setting keeps them in close quarters as years of distance, family resentment, and a few badly timed habits rise to the surface.
