Rango
ActionAdventureAnimationComedyDramaFamilyWestern112 min
Rango is a sheltered pet chameleon who tumbles into Dirt, a parched desert town where a lucky bluff gets him named sheriff. Johnny Depp voices the theater-loving drifter as he leans into a made-up gunslinger persona, while Isla Fisher’s Beans is among the first locals to size him up. Surrounded by bandits, suspicious townsfolk, and a mayor offering answers, Rango lands in the middle of a worsening water crisis. Gore Verbinski frames the whole thing like a crooked Western, swapping human cowboys for sunbaked lizards and a hero who is mostly improvising.
