Colette
DramaRomance112 min
After leaving rural France for Paris with her new husband, Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette finds herself ghostwriting for the celebrated author known as Willy. Keira Knightley is Colette, whose semi-autobiographical Claudine stories become a publishing sensation under her husband’s name, while Dominic West’s Willy relishes the attention and status that follow. As the couple rises through Paris literary society, Colette’s success brings mounting questions of authorship, marriage, and gender roles, with her private life and public identity becoming harder to separate.
