You've Got Mail

ComedyDramaRomance119 min

On New York’s Upper West Side, book superstore heir Joe Fox and neighborhood shop owner Kathleen Kelly are locked in a local business fight, unaware they’re also falling for each other online. Tom Hanks is Joe, opening a Fox Books just blocks from Kathleen’s family store, while Meg Ryan’s Kathleen pours herself into anonymous email exchanges that feel easier than her real life. Nora Ephron folds late-1990s internet courtship into a story of chain-store change, coffee-shop New York, and two people who know each other best only when they don’t know who they’re talking to.
