Hill Street Blues

CrimeDrama49 min per episode

At a worn police station on Hill Street in an unnamed big American city, every shift begins with too many crises and not enough people to handle them. Patrol officers head into street disputes, robberies, and gang trouble while detectives juggle investigations, paperwork, and pressure from inside the department. What happens on the job keeps colliding with what follows them home, so cases rarely end at the squad-room door. As new emergencies pile up, the station has to keep functioning through internal politics, frayed nerves, and the constant chance that one bad call will spill into something larger. Daniel J. Travanti and Michael Warren are part of an ensemble spread across the precinct.
