A Catholic French couple see their family life thrown off balance when each of their four daughters marries a man from a different religion and cultural background. Christian Clavier and Chantal Lauby are the parents at the center of the upheaval, moving from one wedding to the next as family dinners, ceremonies, and introductions turn into clashes over tradition, identity, and prejudice. The film keeps its focus on the household itself, with every new son-in-law widening the gap between the couple’s expectations and the family taking shape around them.
