In the divided empire of Izmer, Empress Savina tries to loosen the ruling mages’ grip on power while the evil mage Profion moves to depose her. The fight centers on a mythical rod that could shift control of the realm’s dragons, sending the story from palace intrigue into a hunt that draws in two thieves and a circle of allies. Justin Whalin and Marlon Wayans are among the band pulled into Savina’s cause, with Thora Birch in the royal court and Jeremy Irons looming over the conflict as Profion. Magic, swordplay, and back-alley scrambling run alongside the struggle over who gets to rule.
