Poochi lives in a small hut with his grandson Kumaresan, orphaned after a caste riot, and spends his days taking any work he can to save for the boy’s place in a private school. When his easily ruffled landlord Vellaiyan asks for a choice pig for a feast, grandfather and grandson set out on the errand together. The job draws them deeper into the village’s caste hierarchy, where obligation, dependence, and resentment sit just beneath the surface. Manickam and Ashwin lead the story from the center of that family bond, against a rural backdrop shaped by class, custom, and everyday survival.
