Captive State

ActionAdventureCrimeHorrorSci-FiThriller110 min

Nine years into an alien occupation, a working-class Chicago neighborhood lives under checkpoints, surveillance, and tightly controlled order. John Goodman's William Mulligan is a police officer tasked with keeping the peace for the new regime, while Gabriel (Ashton Sanders), the younger brother of a dead insurgent, is pulled toward the city’s underground resistance. As officials hunt for signs of rebellion, loyalties blur between collaborators, cops, and neighbors trying to survive inside an occupied city. Rupert Wyatt’s film keeps its focus close to the street, where whispered plans, public crackdowns, and constant monitoring shape everyday life under extraterrestrial rule.
