The King: Eternal Monarch
DramaFantasyMysteryRomance73 min per episode
In a Korea ruled by a modern monarch, Emperor Lee Gon discovers a passage between parallel worlds and crosses into a version of Korea with no throne at all. There he meets detective Jeong Tae-eul, played by Kim Go-eun, while chasing the figure tied to a violent break in his childhood and the key to the worlds’ divide. As Lee Gon tries to understand how the two realities connect, each crossing brings new dangers, doubles with different lives, and a widening struggle over who controls the gate. The mystery pulls court politics, police work, and a growing romance into the same fight, as the boundary between the two Koreas grows harder to hold.
