War for the Planet of the Apes
ActionAdventureDramaSci-FiThrillerWar142 min
With war between apes and humans now fully underway, Andy Serkis is Caesar, the leader forced into a deadly conflict after his community suffers devastating losses. Opposing him is Woody Harrelson’s ruthless Colonel, whose army turns a species-wide struggle into a direct confrontation between two hardened leaders. As Caesar begins a revenge-driven mission, he has to reckon with the darker instincts the fighting brings out in him, even as the future of both species hangs in the balance. Matt Reeves pushes the Planet of the Apes story into full-scale war, with Caesar’s personal grief and anger driving the conflict forward.
