The Card Counter
CrimeDramaThriller112 min
William Tell drifts from casino to casino, living out of anonymous motels and making just enough at the poker table to keep moving. Oscar Isaac is Tell, an ex-military interrogator whose tightly controlled routine is disrupted when Tye Sheridan's Cirk, a young man carrying anger and a plan for revenge against a former military colonel, asks for his help. As Tell tries to stay ahead of the past that trails him from Iraq and military prison, the film keeps one eye on the rituals of gambling and the other on guilt, violence, and the chance to make different choices.
