In the 23rd century, Johnny Rico leaves school behind and enlists in the military of the United Citizen Federation, where citizenship and service are tightly bound. Training turns brutal as he and his friends are pushed into a system that treats war as duty and sacrifice as routine. When conflict with the alien Arachnids erupts into full-scale interstellar combat, Rico is sent into a campaign defined by massive casualties, propaganda, and relentless bug assaults. As battles spread from boot camp to the front lines, he has to survive the machinery of war while the people around him are tested in very different ways. Casper Van Dien and Dina Meyer star.
