After ending her life in the middle of an otherwise ordinary day, Brenda Strong's Mary Alice Young narrates from above the manicured lawns of Wisteria Lane, observing the family, friends, and neighbors she left behind. Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross are among the women at the center of the block, where marriages fray, affairs simmer, gossip circulates, and a suicide raises questions no one in Fairview can ignore. Mystery runs through suburban routines as secrets surface one household at a time.
