You Were Never Really Here
CrimeDramaThriller89 min
Joaquin Phoenix is Joe, a traumatized veteran who tracks down missing girls and punishes the men who took them. In New York City, a senator hires him to find his teenage daughter, but the job opens onto a wider conspiracy as Joe’s PTSD and childhood memories keep crashing through. He moves through hotels, back rooms, and sudden bursts of violence with a hammer and a practiced routine, while his quiet life caring for his mother lingers just outside the work.
