Aladdin and the Death Lamp

Aladdin and his friend Ali uncover a lamp and release a genie, but this version of the legend turns dark fast: instead of granting wishes, the creature turns the keeper’s thoughts into deadly nightmares. After the lamp kills members of their expedition, the two seek out a village elder to learn its history, while the power-hungry Shahir follows close behind, determined to claim the lamp for himself. Darren Shahlavi and Noam Jenkins are among the leads in this darker take on the Aladdin story, which pushes the familiar folklore toward fantasy adventure with a horror streak.
