Rajinikanth is a hostel warden whose calm, no-nonsense authority starts to look a lot less ordinary when a dreaded politician and his gangster son decide to make him a target. What begins with trouble inside the hostel opens into an older score, as enemies from his past resurface and the man they’re hunting turns out to have a history of his own. Vijay Sethupathi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are among the forces closing in, as the story moves from local clashes and intimidation to revenge and sudden bursts of violence.
