The Fearmakers

The story

Back from the Korean War, Dana Andrews is a Washington public-opinion researcher who returns home to find his business partner dead and their company sold off without him. He takes a job inside the new operation to learn who is really running it, working undercover in a world of polling, influence and carefully engineered political messaging. As he cooperates with a Senate committee, the investigation points beyond office intrigue to a Cold War plot aimed at steering supposedly neutral public opinion in the nation’s capital.
