The Mastermind
CrimeDrama110 min
Circa 1970 in a quiet Massachusetts suburb, Josh O'Connor is J.B. Mooney, an unemployed family man who moonlights as an amateur art thief and decides to attempt his first museum heist. With the building cased and a small crew lined up, Mooney believes he has planned for every step. Alana Haim and Bill Camp are part of the world around him as the job starts to slip, and the calm routines of suburban life sit against the wider pressure of the Vietnam era. Once the plan is moving, Mooney’s confidence begins to thin.
