The Happytime Murders

ActionAdventureComedyCrimeThriller91 min

When cast members from a beloved 1990s puppet TV show start turning up dead, ex-LAPD detective Phil Philips (Bill Barretta), now working as a private eye, is pulled back onto the case. He’s forced to team up again with Melissa McCarthy’s Detective Connie Edwards, his former partner, in a Los Angeles where humans and puppets live side by side but not on equal footing. As the killings continue, the investigation moves through the city’s seedier corners and the wreckage left behind by old fame, bad blood, and a children’s-show legacy turned criminal case.
