The Terminal
ComedyDramaRomance128 min
An Eastern European traveler lands at JFK just as a military coup erupts back home, leaving his passport in limbo and trapping him inside the airport. Tom Hanks is the stranded visitor, forced to build a temporary life among food counters, waiting areas, and airport workers while officials argue over what to do with him. Catherine Zeta-Jones enters the orbit as a flight attendant he keeps running into, and Stanley Tucci’s customs chief treats the situation like a problem to contain. Steven Spielberg keeps the entire story inside the terminal’s routines, rules, and language barriers.
