Welcome to Marwen
ComedyDocumentaryDramaFantasyRomance116 min
After a devastating attack leaves him without his memory, Mark Hogancamp rebuilds his life by creating Marwen, a miniature town where dolls stand in for the people around him and for the fearless version of himself. Steve Carell is Mark, moving between rehabilitation and an elaborate fantasy war staged through photographs of his handmade figures. Robert Zemeckis blends live action and animation as Mark's inner world takes shape on screen, with Diane Kruger among the women whose support carries into the stories and characters of Marwen.
