The Banshees of Inisherin

ComedyDrama114 min

On a remote Irish island in 1923, a man is blindsided when his lifelong friend abruptly tells him he wants nothing more to do with him. Colin Farrell is the baffled half of the split, opposite Brendan Gleeson’s suddenly distant fiddler; Kerry Condon threads through the fallout as Farrell’s sharp-eyed sister, with Barry Keoghan at the edges of village life. Martin McDonagh keeps the dispute tightly focused on the island’s daily rhythms — walks to the pub, roadside conversations, a fiddle carried from house to house, and the way one broken friendship starts to unsettle everyone around it.
