Living quietly in Thailand, ex-Green Beret John Rambo is drawn back into combat when a group of Christian aid workers vanishes across the river in neighboring Myanmar. Sylvester Stallone is Rambo, first hired to ferry missionaries into Burma and then to guide a team of mercenaries after a ruthless infantry unit kidnaps them. Directed by Stallone, the story moves from riverboat passage into jungle fighting and a rescue mission unfolding against the violence of Burma’s civil war.
