Rodrigo Noya is Valentín, an eight-year-old growing up with his grandmother in late-1960s Buenos Aires, convinced that the family mess around him won’t sort itself out. While he dreams of becoming an astronaut, he studies the adults in his life — especially his distant father and the women drifting in and out of the apartment — and starts taking it on himself to mend what’s broken. Carmen Maura's grandmother is the steady center of the home, even as Valentín pieces together grown-up secrets from overheard conversations, small routines, and the uneasy gaps left by his parents.
