The Dirty Dozen

ActionAdventureWar150 min

On the eve of D-Day, 12 American military prisoners are offered a deal: take on a covert raid behind enemy lines, and their death sentences may be commuted. Lee Marvin leads the operation, drilling a squad of violent offenders into a commando unit for an assault on a heavily guarded Nazi château where high-ranking officers are gathered. Charles Bronson and John Cassavetes are among the men sent into the mission, each bringing his own edge to a unit built on distrust, discipline, and necessity. Robert Aldrich’s World War II action film turns military training, sabotage, and close-quarters combat into a blunt, ensemble-driven battle plan.
