Julie & Julia

DramaRomance123 min

Julia Child and Julie Powell never meet, but their stories rhyme across decades. Meryl Streep is Child in the early stretch of her culinary life, discovering French cooking and working toward the cookbook that will define her career. In New York, Amy Adams's Julie Powell is a frustrated office worker who starts a blog and commits to making all 524 recipes from Child's book in a single year. Nora Ephron cuts between Julie's cramped apartment-kitchen challenge and Julia's path into food, tying the two women together through work, marriage, writing, and a steady supply of butter.
