At a New York psychic research facility, medium Sylvia Pickel and psychometrist Nick Deezy are hired to find a wealthy man's missing son in South America. Cyndi Lauper is Sylvia, an eccentric clairvoyant paired with Jeff Goldblum's Nick, whose own paranormal gifts make him an uneasy partner on the trip. Their search carries them into Ecuador and the heart of Incan territory, where a promised payday gives way to hidden ruins, a buried mystical secret, and a growing attraction between two people who don't quite trust each other.
