A lone mercenary cuts his way through medieval battlefields until a duel brings him into the Band of the Hawk, a rising company led by the charismatic Griffith. Guts finds purpose in the group’s brutal campaigns and in Griffith’s sweeping ambition, as skirmishes turn into wars that can change the fate of kingdoms. But loyalty inside the band is never simple. As Guts rises from hired sword to Griffith’s most trusted fighter, rivalry, desire, and the cost of living by the blade begin to strain the bond that holds them together. The series follows that ascent under gathering dread, where every victory carries a darker price.
