The Event

CrimeDramaMysterySci-FiThriller60 min per episode

A routine flight turns into a crisis as a young man’s desperate search for his missing girlfriend collides with a government secret buried for 66 years. In Alaska, survivors of a crashed extraterrestrial ship have been held in secret detention while others live undetected among ordinary Americans, waiting for a chance to act. As the president moves toward a public announcement, competing agendas inside the White House, the intelligence world, and the detainees’ own ranks push the situation toward disaster. Jason Ritter and Blair Underwood are folded into a story that keeps widening, as personal disappearances, political cover-ups, and the truth about “the event” begin to connect.
