Burlesque
ComedyDramaMusicalRomance119 min
Christina Aguilera is Ali, a small-town singer who leaves a troubled life behind and heads to Los Angeles looking for a place onstage. She lands a job as a cocktail waitress at the Burlesque Lounge, a once-majestic theater built around a glamorous musical revue, and starts pushing her way from the bar to the spotlight. Cher’s Tess runs the club and is scrambling to keep it afloat, making Ali’s ambition part of the lounge’s fight for a future. Backstage rivalries, rehearsals, and stage performances shape the story as the club’s old-school showmanship meets a new voice.
