U-571

ActionAdventureDramaThrillerWar116 min

During World War II, a crippled German U-boat gives the Allies a rare opening: board the vessel, steal its Enigma coding machine, and break Nazi communications before reinforcements arrive. Matthew McConaughey is among the American submariners sent on the covert operation, while Bill Paxton is part of the crew ordered to infiltrate the sub in enemy uniform and keep the mission hidden at all costs. Once they’re inside the U-boat’s narrow passageways, the plan starts to unravel, and the raid becomes a desperate undersea struggle where every mistake can leave the men trapped below.
