When two Hong Kong cops head to Tokyo to track an ex-cop who vanished with a stash of diamonds, the case unravels fast: one officer is captured by the ninja gang protecting the fugitive, and the other has to call in his old orphanage crew, the Five Lucky Stars. Sammo Kam-Bo Hung heads the unruly rescue team, with Richard Ng and Eric Tsang among the reluctant friends pulled into the search. Jackie Chan is also in the mix as one of the detectives, as the story bounces between police pursuit, broad comedy, and martial-arts showdowns in Hong Kong and Japan.
