The Cobbler

ComedyDramaFantasy99 min

Max Simkin is a New York cobbler, stuck in the same shoe-repair shop his family has run for generations. Adam Sandler is Max, worn down by the daily routine until he finds a mysterious heirloom in the back room that lets him become whoever owns the shoes he puts on. Moving through the city in other people's identities gives him access to lives far removed from his own and shifts how he sees the customers passing through his store. Steve Buscemi and Dustin Hoffman appear around Max in a story that mixes neighborhood New York detail with a small, strange piece of magic.
