Bad Times at the El Royale

CrimeMysteryThriller142 min

In Lake Tahoe in 1969, seven strangers converge on the El Royale, a once-glamorous motel on the California-Nevada line where every room seems to hide something. Jeff Bridges and Cynthia Erivo are among the mismatched guests checking in alongside Dakota Johnson and Jon Hamm, each arriving with a different story and something to bury. As the night unfolds, the motel’s dark history starts surfacing, and private schemes begin crashing into one another. The setup mixes seedy roadside noir with late-’60s unease, as lies, violence, and buried secrets turn a stop at an isolated hotel into a long night of reckoning.
