A man claiming to be from the future walks into an LA diner and announces that the world can only be saved if he recruits the exact right combination of disgruntled customers for a one-night mission against a rogue artificial intelligence. Sam Rockwell and Michael Peña are among the strangers caught up in his plan, with Juno Temple and Zazie Beetz rounding out the diner crowd as suspicion, argument, and hurried teamwork take over the room. Gore Verbinski directs a high-stakes setup built around a locked-in location, clashing personalities, and a deadline that keeps getting closer.
