A Cinderella Story

ComedyFamilyRomance95 min

Hilary Duff is Sam Montgomery, a high school senior who spends more time scrubbing floors at her family diner than enjoying teenage life, thanks to her overbearing stepmother and cruel stepsisters. While she pins her hopes on Princeton, Sam finds an escape in late-night emails with a classmate she knows only as Nomad. When they agree to meet at the school’s Halloween dance, the mystery boy is Austin Ames, the campus golden child, with Chad Michael Murray in the role. Jennifer Coolidge’s Fiona updates the wicked-stepmother setup for a glossy 2000s high school fairy tale.
