Sherlock Jr.

ActionAdventureComedyFamilyMysteryRomance49 min

A small-town movie projectionist spends his spare time studying detective manuals and dreaming of becoming a master sleuth. When he is framed for stealing a watch and shut out by the girl he loves, he tries to solve the case himself and clear his name. The mystery keeps slipping away in the real world, where his inexperience turns every clue into a comic disaster. Then, asleep in the booth, he imagines himself inside the movie on the screen: a fearless detective called Sherlock Jr., chasing a thief through traps, disguises, and impossible stunts. Buster Keaton turns the gap between fantasy and reality into the film’s central joke.
