Danny comes home to spend his last months with the family he left behind, and his return turns the house into a place of old wounds, private loyalties, and hard conversations. Robert Sean Leonard is Danny, a young man dying of AIDS whose bond with his mother becomes the emotional center of the family’s final reckoning. Glenn Close gives the mother a fierce, protective focus, while David Strathairn’s father finds himself pushed to the margins, along with Danny’s sister.
